Action Figure

I’ll try to explain, I have a 10 years old teenage mutant ninja turtle action figure. Some one buys the action figure for idk thousand dollars. What does the buyer do with the action figure after they bought the expensive item? Wait for another 10 years to sell it again??? I just don’t understand it, because I open my figures and display them in a glass case for show.
There's so many people who are fond of collecting stuffs like that. Those kind of people are the type who have stable financial income. They get those income through hard work. More hard work means more stress. In order to de-stress themselves, they do what they love the most. For some, an put-of-town trip but for others collecting stuff. Having these one-of-a-kind things brings priceless joy to them.
In some other case, people makes business out these things. They either sell it to an auction or on their own shop at a higher price.
